An informed, active citizenry is the foundation of any thriving society. GIME's Civic Education program builds that foundation — teaching people their rights, their responsibilities and how to shape the decisions that affect their lives.
Why civic education
Knowledge is the first act of citizenship
Too many people are shut out of decisions that shape their lives — not for lack of will, but for lack of access to plain-language knowledge about how governance actually works. GIME closes that gap. We translate constitutions, rights and civic processes into clear, engaging learning — delivered in Swahili and English, for classrooms, youth groups, communities and institutions.
